Nevada Dorothy Atkinson

Nevada Dorothy Atkinson, age 93, of Meherrin, VA passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nevada Munroe Huttar; her husband, William “Bill” Atkinson; her son, Theadore I. Bryant; and her grandson, Benjamin K. Batten.

Nevada is survived by her daughter, Cathanna May Ruecroft; two sons, Albert H. Bryant, Sr., William “Willie” S. S. Bryant; five grandchildren, Penelopy Skubon, Heidi Batten, David Batten, A. J. Bryant, Jr., D. J. Bryant; and a daughter-in-law, Jhackie Bryant.

Nevada was a member of the Guthrie Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Farmville, VA.

A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Guthrie Seventh-Day Adventist Church Farmville, VA.
