Ray Jerome Mayhew

Ray Jerome Mayhew, age 67, of Amelia Court House, VA, passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2019. He was a U S Army Decorated Veteran of the 101 ^st Airborne Division receiving the Bronze Star Medal and The Army Commendation Medal.  Ray was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Ray is survived by his wife, Jennifer S. Mayhew; three children, Robin Bass and husband, Jay of Blacksburg, VA, Jason Mayhew and Fiancée, Terri Norman of Chesterfield, VA, Ashley Warne and husband, Matt of Fluvanna, VA; five grandchildren, Addison and Jillian Bass, Bella Mayhew, Kasey and Cooper Warne; two step-daughters, Kimberly Meloy-Comer and wife, Heather, of Chesterfield, VA, Ashley Nicole Ralls and husband, David of Sutherland, VA; two step-grandchildren, Harper Meloy-Comer and Aiden Ralls; one brother, Bill Mayhew and wife, Sandy of Keysville, VA; and numerous other family members.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2019, at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, on Thursday, March 21, 2019, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
