Raymond Clarke “Mickey” Johnson

Raymond Clarke Johnson “Mickey”, age 84, of Phenix, VA, departed this life at home on April 13, 2015. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years Willie Jean; three sisters, Anne Price, Ross Gallion, and Joyce Banton; and one brother, Curtis Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Flossie Johnson; one sister, Naomi Childress; and three brothers, Maynard, Dewell, and Dwight Johnson. He served four years in the U S Air Force and was employed by Parker Oil Company as Plant Manager for most of his working years.
A private burial will be held at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Phenix, VA. A visitation will be held at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, in the Falling River Baptist Church, Brookneal, VA, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
