Roy David Martin

Roy David Martin, of Randolph, VA, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023.  Born on April 12, 1945, he was 77 at the time of his death.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret C. Martin; and his son, Roy Lee Martin.

Roy is survived by one sister, Helen Wilson of South Boston, VA; three sons, Thomas Martin (Lisa) of White Plains, VA, Jason Martin (Pearl) of Pamplin, VA, and Joe Martin (Janet) of Randolph, VA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He loved fishing, being in the garden and fooling with his farm animals.  His favorite sayings were “I worked for the highway department for 28 years and 10 months” and “I ain’t never told but one lie and I ain’t done telling that”.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Nathalie, VA.  The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  The family will be receiving friends at the home of Joe and Janet Martin, 12098 Scuffletown Road, Randolph, VA 23962, at all other times.  The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
