Sammie Lewis Duffey

Sammie L. Duffey age 74, of Saxe, VA, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Doris L. Duffey; two daughters, Pat D. Nichols and husband, Kenny E. Nichols of Saxe, VA, Terri D. Palmer and husband, John R.Palmer of Red Oak, VA; three sons, Bobby L. Duffey and wife, Peggy G. Duffey of Chase City, VA, David L. Duffey of Drakes Branch, VA, Scotty Duffey and wife, Lisa P. Duffey of Chase City, VA; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, John T. Duffey of Keysville, VA; one sister, Annie D. Guill of Drakes Branch, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archer T. Duffey and Carrie M. Duffey; one child, Dale L. Duffey; one great-grandchild, Jay Duffey; and five sisters.
A Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 21, 2011, in the Duffey Family Cemetery in Saxe, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of the arrangements.
