Vernon Beverly Francisco

Vernon Beverly Francisco, age 68, of Kill Devil Hills, N. C., formerly of Keysville, VA passed away peacefully on Friday, July 18, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was born on February 7, 1957, to the late Harold D. and Mildred B. Francisco.

Vernon is survived by two children, Tiffany (who was his caregiver and stood by his side during his illness) and her husband, Jon Berkley, Travis Francisco and his wife, Missy; two young men who were like his sons, Jonathan and Alan Layton; four grandchildren, Gavin (Savannah), Alyssa, Brenden, and Bryson; a great-granddaughter, Aubrey; a sister, Janice Francisco-Reulbach; two brothers, Keevin Francisco and his wife, Amy, Kenneth Francisco and his wife, Debbie; numerous nieces and nephews; two very close friends, Gail Layton and Marilyn Savage; and his faithful pets, which he called his "girls" Bella and Mia.

He was a graduate of Victoria Senior High School and a business owner of Sunbelt Cleaning while in Virginia and A 1 Steam Cleaning after relocating to the Outer Banks, N. C. He continued his education and obtained his pilot’s license. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, infectious laugh, kind heart and his love for a good time.

Vernon was an avid boater, fisherman, and enjoyed many hours on the water with his family and friends. He also enjoyed golfing, hunting, watching NASCAR, Karate and visiting with friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday July 21, 2025. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
