Wayne Tate

Wayne Tate, age 73 of Drakes Branch, VA, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2012.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley H. Tate; three children, David Tate Beverley, Gary Green Patti, Brenda Powell Richard; three grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Hines, Jerlene Peridu, Bernice Fears, Gail Seltzer; two brothers, Calvin Tate, Jessie Tate; and one uncle, Jim Tate Barbara. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Sue Tate, and two grandchildren, Daniel Tate and Deanna Amos.
A Graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2012, in Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home at all times, 6814 Craftons Gate Highway, Drakes Branch, VA, 23937. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Charlotte County Rescue Squad or the Drakes Branch Volunteer Fire Department. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
