William Chappell "WC" Hardy Jr.

William Chappell "WC" Hardy, Jr., of Lunenburg County, VA passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty B. Hardy; his mother, Annie E. Hardy and father, William C. Hardy Sr.; two sisters; and one brother.

WC is survived by his daughter, Nancy Wakefield (Tony); his stepson, James C. Bailey (Beverly); and several nieces and one nephew.

WC served in the United States Army in Germany during the Korean war. He was a supervisor at Virginia Crafts, Inc. for many years.

WC enjoyed playing the guitar, carpentry, reading and spending time with his many friends, especially Charlene and David.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, December 15, 2025,  at the Browning- Duffer Funeral Home, 110 H Street, Keysville, VA 23947. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Philbeck's Music House, 6282 George Washington Hwy, Keysville, VA 23947, in memory of WC. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
