Edward Owen Newcomb

Edward Owen Newcomb, age 85, of Drakes Branch, VA, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Norma Newcomb; four sons, Ronnie Newcomb, Rocky Newcomb, Shane Newcomb, and Kevin Newcomb; one daughter, Wanda Blalock; two grandchildren, Tracy Newcomb and Paige Hamlett; two great-grandchildren, Amber Rickmond and Ryan Rickmond; three sisters, Ruth Wade, Bernice Newcomb, Ann Varner; and one brother, Hagood Newcomb. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Newcomb Rickmond.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, June 17, 2013, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville with interment to follow in the LaPradd Family Cemetery, Drakes Branch. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 16, 2013, from 6 to 8 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
