Larry Grey Parnell, 81, born on April 22, 1933, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015. He retired from The Town of Farmville, VA. He was a veteran serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Larry lived life to the fullest and had a love for Nascar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estel and Effie Parnell; his wife, Dora Meadows Parnell; and his step- daughter, Carolyn Mae Tharpe.

He is survived by his son, Rodney Parnell and companion, Debbie Lewis; daughter-in-law, Lisa Parnell all of Keysville, VA; three grandchildren, Brycen Parnell of Keysville, VA, Cindie Wade Stoots Gary of Charlotte C H, VA, Beverly Wade Hughes of Roxboro, NC, five great-grandchildren, Jasmine Vaughan of Clover, VA, Tristan Wade and Josephine Hughes of Roxboro, NC, Blake Stoots and Brooke Stoots of Charlotte C H, VA; and longtime friends, Raymond Page, Kaye Lacks, and Ronnie Forrest all of Keysville, VA. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in the Keysville Baptist Temple Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Friday, April 10, 2015, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements
