Sending our thoughts and prayers. Toni was a unique lady. My sister and I got to visit her while she was in South Boston a couple of years ago while she sat outside soaking up the sun. It was great to see her then.

I will miss Toni greatly. She was a very integral part of my childhood and young adult life. The friendship between her and my mother, Marie Rexrode, spanned well over 40 years. We showed horses together, traveled together, and spent a lot of time together. It was troubling and a shame that the three best friends anyone could ask for didn’t bother to contact our family about her passing, but this lovely and wonderful woman is in a better place now and she knows how much we loved her and will miss her. Rest In Peace Toni, we will never forget the immeasurable contributions you made to our lives.

So sad to hear of Toni’s passing. She was an amazing woman, who alongside my mother Marie , taught me everything I know about horses. The countless hours of trail riding and showing her horse Doc will forever be with me and are memories I will cherish forever. Toni was a dear friend to my mom and she was a friend like no other to her. Even though I lived out of country and state most of my adult life, whenever I would come home I would try to go see her. There aren’t many Tonis in this world and heaven gained a great angel. Is there any charities to donate to in lieu of flowers?

I met Toni and Bennie when I was twelve years old. Having just gotten a horse, and knowing nothing, Toni took me under her wing and mentored me. She taught me so much about horses, joy, gratefulness, and life. She always loved a good ride, whether that was on horseback or in a pickup truck, or chasing beagles on a rabbit hunt. She and Bennie took me to her childhood home in Skaneateles, NY one summer….what an adventure! She took me in one entire summer so that I could take classes at the local community college. Toni and Bennie always treated me as their own. I am forever indebted to them both. I will miss Toni so much but look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.

The short time I knew Toni, then a member of the Halifax Saddle Club we rode together many many miles of trails on our mules. I love Toni to death and miss her so bad, I think of her everyday and the fun we had together and the many talks we had. She was taking too early in my opinion.
She touched a lot of people’s lives in good ways and gave them gifts to take with them through their lives to share with others and enjoy.
