Clarence Edwin Collie, age 87, of Randolph, VA, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Tom and Inez Collie. Clarence was preceded in death by three brothers, Fletcher Collie, Thomas Collie, and Harold Collie; three sisters, Cecil Collier, Annie Belle Nichols, and Lucille Crowder.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Juanita “Ludy” Toombs Collie; one daughter, Donna Collie Wright and husband, Bailey; three grandsons, Dane Wright, Austin Wright and wife, Jennifer, Travis Wright and wife, Savannah; six great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Alexis, Isaiah, Noah, Gideon, and Emma; one sister, Estelle Royster; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022, at New Hope United Methodist Church, Randolph, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. A luncheon will be held for family and friends following the funeral service in the church fellowship hall. Public viewing will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, from 9 a.m., til 5 p.m., at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, or to New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Juanita Collie, 161 Mossingford Road, Randolph, VA 23962, or to a charity of your choice. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is serving the family.
