Phyllis Pollard Jacobs, age 85, of Toano, Virginia, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2023.
She is survived by her sister, Margaret Pollard; brothers, Arthur (Annie Mae) Pollard, Luther (Cora Alice) Pollard, Raymond (Betty) Pollard, Bobby (Mary) Pollard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Phyllis was devoted to her family and a loving friend to everyone she met.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday August 26, 2023 at Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The Pastor Ralph Moore will be officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hebron United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, 111 Hebron Church Road, Saxe, VA 23967. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is respectfully serving the Pollard family.

We were saddened to read of Phyllis’ passing a few weeks ago. We were also greatly saddened when her daughter Debbie passed some time ago, but hoped Phyllis might find some quality of life in spite of her grief. It must have been very difficult for her losing a beloved daughter at a rather young age and having to go on without her. We offer our deepest sympathy to the family for the loss of both in a relatively short period of time.
