Wanda L. Hanks, age 78, of Richmond, VA, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at her home with her loving husband by her side. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-four years, Leonard D. Hanks; her daughter Vanda Roberts and her husband an amazing son-in-law, Kenny Roberts; two grandchildren, Ashley Roberts and Chase Roberts; and five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, P O Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.

My heart goes out to your family and friends. I have fond memories of our friendship at Reynolds Metals Company on West Broad Street, our walks during breaks and lunch and our conversations of family, friends and what was going on in our lives, taking exercise classes together at Reynolds, riding in your corvette, going to your wedding , seeing your new home in Richmond (close to Reynolds) and spending the night at the river ( riding the jet skies and boat). It seems like it was just yesterday and even though we lost touch (laid off at Reynolds due to downsizing and getting married (33 years) and living in Caroline County), I still hold you close to my heart. You were my blond haired blue eyed real life Barbie friend before they came out with the Barbie movie in 2023. May you rest in peace for your were loved by many.
