Bessie Mae Tuck Dix

Bessie Mae Tuck Dix, 86, of Keysville, VA, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016. Mrs. Dix lived the majority of her life in Lunenburg County, VA, where she and her husband, Jimmy raised their three children. She was a devoted member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Keysville, VA, and worked for West Point Pepperell until her retirement. Bessie was preceded in death by her husband, James B. “Jimmy” Dix; her daughter, Judy Dix Carrier; her mother, Clara N. Tuck; her father, Allie F. Tuck, Sr.; her sister, Barbara T. Tharpe; her brother, George Tuck; and her sister-in-law, Geneva L. Tuck. She is survived by her son, Jackie Ray Dix of Keysville; her daughter, Debbie Dix Wells of Pittsfield, MA; her brother, Allie Tuck Jr., of Keysville; and numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins. Although, she was greatly loved and will be sorely missed; she is now safe and whole in the arms of our Lord and will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Jimmy, on October 6, 2016 at 3 p.m., in Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Keysville, VA. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of the arrangements.
