Betty Pierce Rudder

Betty Pierce Rudder, age 82, of Phenix, VA, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was the daughter of the late William I. and Lillie Brooks Pierce.
She is survived by her son, Wayne Rudder and wife, Dianne of Phenix, VA; three grandchildren, Amanda Letterman and husband, Dale; Lauren Rudder and Fiancé, Kent all of Phenix, VA; Matthew Rudder and wife, Holly of Rustburg, VA; four great-grandchildren, Devin, Avery, Nikki, and Easton; four sisters, Virginia Seamster, Mary Rudder, Catherine Hailey, and Barbara Fears. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Rudder; a sister, Dorothy Martin, and a brother, Clyde Pierce.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, August 31, 2014, in Midway Baptist Church, Phenix, VA, interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Midway Baptist Church Building Fund, 2595 Midway Road, Phenix, VA 23959.
