Charles went to be with his Lord and Savior suddenly on July 2. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Michael. He is survived by his wife, Linda; a son, Ricky and his wife Donna; Brittany Guill, the apple of his eye, and first born grandchild; followed by his other two grandchildren, dumplings Ashley and Brandy Bing.
Charles was a devoted son-in-law to his “Mama” Helen Benton of the home. He also leaves Snuggles. He is also survived by three sisters, Evelyn Vaughan of Brookneal, Edna Roark and Nancy Atkins of Drakes Branch; two brothers, Sam Jr. and his wife Brenda, Clyde and his wife Linda also of Drakes Branch.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to the funeral service on Friday, July 6, at 1 p.m., in Trinity Gospel Church, Drakes Branch. He will be laid to rest in Trinity Memorial Gardens in memory of his son, Charles Michael Guill. For his many dedicated years of delivering toys, memorial contributions may be made to Southside Christmas Parents P. O. Box 52, Charlotte Court House, VA 23923. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
