Daisy Fears, 94, of Charlotte Court House, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Wayland Nursing and Rehab in Keysville. She was born in Halifax County, VA on August 9th, 1918. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond “Puppy” Fears; her parents, George and Daisy Nichols; 3 brothers, Noel, James and Lacy Nichols; 3 sisters, Clara Tuck, Georgia “Dick” Tuck and Virgie Allen. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Norma Locke of Keysville, VA. She is survived by her 2 sons, John Lee Fears Judy of Keysville, and Robert Fears Bernice of Charlotte C.H.; 1 grandson, Mark Fears of Charlotte C.H. 2 granddaughters, Dr. Teresa Moore Eugene of Charlotte C.H. and Jackie Lorenzen Kevin of Stem, NC; 7 great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a dear sister-in-law, Shirley Nichols. Daisy, well known as “Buck”, was a special lady who adored God and her family. She was very loved by her family and will be remembered in precious memories. She always looked forward to watching ministry on Sundays including Jonathan Falwell and Joel Osteen. She was an avid New York Yankees fan and loved a good piece of Kentucky Fried Chicken. Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 25th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., at her home at 3303 Patrick Henry Hwy., Charlotte C. H. Visitation will be Sunday, May 26th from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Browning & Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville. Graveside service will be held on Monday, May 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Charlotte C.H. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Keysville United Methodist Church Building Fund or Ash Camp Baptist Church, Keysville. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
