Florence Flowers Throckmorton

Florence Flowers Throckmorton, 96, of Richmond, VA, formerly of Meherrin, VA, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2013. She was the widow of Edgar Trent Throckmorton. Florence was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her brothers, Paul Flowers of Farmville, and Edward Flowers of Buena Vista. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews as well as many family members and friends. Florence was a very loving and caring person, who enjoyed socializing with family members as well as friends. She was a wonderful cook, talented seamstress, and a “mother” to everyone. Florence was very devoted to her church and loved her extended church family. She will forever remain in our hearts and will truly be missed by everyone.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, with interment to follow in the Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home two hours prior to the funeral service. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
