Frances Rutledge Seay age 80, of Chesterfield, VA, formerly of Red Oak, VA, passed away on May 11, 2013. She was a retired private duty nurse, who dedicated her life to caring for others.
Frances was a member of the Chesterfield Police Citizens Academy, an avid gardener, and a devout Christian who kept a special place in her heart for her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Julian Seay.
Frances is survived by her son, Robert Seay and his wife Susan; two grandchildren, Tara Garner and her husband Dennis, Robert Seay Jr., and his significant other Jennifer; two great-grandchildren, Paris and Christopher. She is also survived by her sisters, Tootsie Neal of Clover, VA; and Lucille Jones of red Oak, VA. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Red Oak. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home on Monday, May 13, 2013, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
