Gerald York Sparkman, age 84, of Meherrin, VA passed away July 29, 2012. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II and an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict. Gerald is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Sparkman; a son, John Gerald Sparkman and his wife, MaryAnn; two daughters, Anne Sparkman Tuck and her husband, Ryland, Susan Elizabeth Frank and her husband, Steven; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2012 in the Meherrin Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Meherrin Presbyterian Church.
The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
