Harold Marshall Harris, Sr., age 65, of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Gayle Bryant Harris; three sons, Harold Marshall Harris, Jr., and his wife, Barbara of Rice, Virginia, Rodney Kevin Harris and his wife, Janice of Charlotte Court House, Virginia, Jeremy Bryant Harris and his wife, Tracy of Floyd, Virginia; eight grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Harris, Hunter Matthew Harris, Bryan Marshall Harris, Sydney Reed Harris, Hanson Justus Harris, Asher Clark Harris, Canaan Nash Harris and Axel Zion Harris.
Harold was predeceased in death by his parents, Hanson Marshall Harris and Dorothy Bagby Harris.
Harold was employed by Westpoint Stevens for 46 years. He was also a devoted and lifetime member of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church where he served as deacon for many years.
A Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, June 29, 2011, in the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, Virginia, on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Nebo Baptist Church Pavilion Fund or The American Cancer Society. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of arrangements.
