John Hind, Jr., age 81, of Keysville, VA passed away Thursday, June 30, 2016. He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Mary Hind, two sons, Steven John Hind, Sr. of Florida, John Hind III of Keysville, VA, a daughter, Diane Brown of New Jersey; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. John was a Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, belonged to American Legion Post 147, was a truck driver for over 45 years and was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Meherrin, VA.
A wake will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Meherrin, VA. Interment will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA is in charge of the arrangements.
