Marie Rosser Chenault Anderson, age 76, of Burkeville, VA went to meet her Heavenly Father on March 29, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Campbell County on February 29, 1936. Marie was the daughter of the late Emma Hendricks Rosser and Vernon Rosser. She was the loving wife of Henry T. Anderson for thirty-four years. Marie is also survived by two sons, Donald Kevin Chenault and David Vernon Chenault; a step-son, David Wayne Anderson; four sisters, Jessie Grishaw of Evington, Dorothy White Larry of Lynchburg, LaVerne Harris of Brookneal and Joyce Whorley John of Appomattox. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Ethel; a brother, Gordon Rosser and a step-son, H.T. Anderson, Jr. Marie was a retired secretary and factory worker.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 1, 2012 in the Burkeville Presbyterian Church, with interment to follow in the Sunset Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2012. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
