Mary Anderson Hughes

Mary Anderson Hughes, age 89, of Charlotte Court House, VA, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2011.
She is survived by one son, Julian B. Hughes, Jr. and wife Eleanor, of Keysville; two grandchildren, Brian K. Hughes and wife, Jessica of Keysville, Wendy H. Scruggs and husband Ken of Cullen; two great-grandchildren, Mary A. Scruggs, Holden B. Hughes; two brothers, Frank C. Anderson of Farmville, Henry T. Anderson of Burkeville; seven sisters, Ruby A. Robinson of Richmond, Donna A. Stafford of Richmond, Carrie A. Reese of Hampton, Nina A. Layne of Cullen, Jane A. Holt of Bedford, Zenora A. Daubenspeck of Phenix, Irma A. Thompson of Williamsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Julian B. Hughes, Sr.; her parents, Lawrence G. & Valeria E. Anderson; one brother, Lawrence G. Anderson, Jr.; and two sisters, Valeria A. Howard, and Fannie A. Price.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 8, 2011, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, with interment to follow in the Ash Camp Memorial Cemetery, Keysville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 7, 2011, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
