Tom Bruce Barton

Tom Bruce Barton, age 81, of Green Bay, VA, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017. He was born on September 10, 1935, in Green Bay, VA, to George and Mary Barton. Tom was a kind, loving, easy going, honest man, who never met a stranger. He loved watching baseball and spending time with his family and friends. Tom is survived by five children, Johnny Taylor, Dennis Barton both of Keysville, Ted Barton of Green Bay, Malissa Barton and husband Kyle Fowler of Keysville, and Denise Faircloth and husband Bud Faircloth of Meherrin; fourteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; a sister Anna Allen of Keysville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca O. Barton; three daughters, Peggy Nassef, Christina Barton, and Karita Reese; and a grandson, Herbert Shawn Chenault.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am., Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice, VA. The family will receive friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, On Monday, January 16, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, VA, is in charge of arrangements.
